Asbestos in India continues to claim workers lives

While the use and production of asbestos is banned in many industrialised countries, asbestos continues to be used widely in less industrialised countries. The use of asbestos is very widespread in parts of Asia, with an increasing number of local organisations being formed in an attempt to stop its use. While international treaties are diminishing asbestos use, the pace of regulation is too slow for too many workers. A recently produced video tries to convey the human toll of asbestos that Indian workers are currently facing.
