Freeport mine workers resist

Workers at the Freeport McMoran mine in West Papua, Indonesia are continuing their strike amid more intimidations and killings by thugs and militias.
The GSBI, the union representing the estimated 11,000 workers on strike, has launched an international appeal for solidarity. Read the letter here. Workers in other mines owned by Freeport McMoran can directly support their Indonesian brothers and sisters by taking industrial action themselves.
Meanwhile, West Papuan activists were shot at by the Indonesian military as they were having their congress.
