The debate among the major political parties in Australia about the issue of asylum seekers continues to be framed within a context of national security. One alternative being offered by the government is to transport all asylum seekers to Malaysia. A Malaysian activist will speak at a public meeting in Melbourne about the human rights violations of refugees in Malaysia.
