Rallies against racism and fascism

This year has seen a marked increase in mobilisations by a number of racist, far right and fascist organisations throughout Australia (see here and here). These mobilisations have been countered by a number of labour, anti-racist and anti-fascist activists. Unfortunately, the far right is continuing to organise and have called a new round of demonstration for Sunday 22 November. For a list of counter rallies in Australia, see here. The anti-racist, anti-fascist rally in Melbourne is in the outer suburb of Melton at 11am, Sunday November 22, outside the Civic Centre at 232 High Street (see here and here). AAWL will organise a union contingent assembling at the Melton Health Centre at 11am, to deliver an anti-racist message as unionists and as workers.
