In the month of April and again in May of 2010, the Thai military moved against demonstrators in central Bangkok, killing almost 100 people. Subsequently the Thai government established a Commission to investigate these deaths. Unfortunately, as many suspected, this enquiry found the military not guilty of murder. These deaths are only the last of a long line of massacres that the military has carried out over the last 50 years in order to preserve the power of the Monarchy and the Thai capitalist class.
