Three years ago, a spate of suicides among its workers brought world attention to the inhumane conditions that workers laboured under. While the company had stated that conditions had improved, an investigation by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) has found that problems are still widespread. At another electronics company, Hewlett Packard, around 3,000 workers recently staged a strike over restructuring plans.
