Mani Saravanan came to Australia on a 457 visa to work as a fabricator for Ironbark Fabrications in Moree. Mani saved all his annual leave and used it to go to India to get married.
While on his honeymoon, Mani received a termination letter by the company via email. The company has denied his annual leave entitlements, despite being required to do so under Australian law, and he was not reimbursed his $700 that he had given his employer to pay for his permanent resident application.
