On Wednesday, 10 March, it will be 150 days since the Australian government requested Indonesia to intercept and hold a small wooden boat with 255 Tamil refugees fleeing from civil war and genocide in Sri Lanka. 234 people still remain on this boat off Merak harbour, in dire conditions, desperate for a resolution to their refugee claims.
