Discussion: After the dictators … What ?
Massive popular uprisings, Iran in 1979, Philippines in 86, South Korea in 87, Indonesia in 98 brought down dictatorships, but they did not change the economic system. Workers in these countries still face poverty and repression. What does this history teach us in terms of the uprisings in North Africa and West Asia ?
