Hava Is, the union representing workers in the airlines industry in Turkey requested that management enter into negotiations over the next Collective Bargaining Agreement. The union is demanding wage increases, scientifically determined rest periods and for the decision in the 305 case to be followed. In order to get around the union’s industrial action, Turkish Airlines is flying without sufficient numbers of cabin crew, and with under qualified staff.
