A support campaign was set up to defend and help workers and their families. This week, a protest site was brutally attacked by police, with workers injured and arrested. The Maruti Workers Union released a statement condemning this latest act of repression. Car workers internationally are facing the same pressures. Only a global co-ordinated response will have the strength to push back against these global companies.
