The struggle to form their own union and win better wages and conditions has been going on for almost two years at the Maruti Suzuki factory, situated in the large industrial belt of Gurgaon just outside of New Dehli. At a forum held this week by the Maruti Suzuki workers and attended by many supporters, participants reaffirmed the right of workers to be able to organise independently, secure jobs and the release of all jailed workers.
