The Engineering, Printing & Manufacturing Union (EPMU) has said it will assemble its own team of legal and technical experts to investigate the Pike river mine tragedy, which killed 29 miners on November 24, and is calling on the NZ Government to establish an independent Inquiry. The union has also created a Trust to provide financial support to the families of the dead miners.
