An anti-racism rally has been organised in Melbourne Victoria on Sunday April 3. The rally is in response to the concerted effort by far right and fascist forces to organise and become a serious political movement in Australia. History shows that in times of economic crisis, far right and fascist groups are encouraged by sections of the ruling class to target activists and minorities. Labour groups and unions have historically been one of the main targets of fascism. Workers’ organisations represent the strongest force that can defeat fascism and the politics of austerity and exploitation.
