Repression against refugees in Australia continues to increase

The Australian government is continuing with its repressive policies against would-be asylum seekers and refugees, both in Australia and regionally. This week a boat that was turned back from Australia almost sank on the way back to Indonesia. The government now wants to make it illegal for health and welfare workers to speak out about the hell holes of Manus and Nauru as well as giving almost unlimited powers to the camp detention guards. This week, in what can only be described as ‘state sanctioned people trafficking’, the Australian government has managed to transport four refugees from Nauru to Cambodia.
