South Korea’s trade unions are preparing for a series of general strikes in major industries in the coming months. Militant unions such as those in car and other manufacturing industries will either go on strike or vote on strike action next week. However, strikes are spreading to other industries less known for militant activity, such as banking and finance as well as the media.
