What has happened to human rights in Thailand?

On the 5th October 2011 an important event is taking place in Geneva. The United Nation’s Human Rights Committee holds its Universal Periodic Review where for the first time Thailand’s human rights record will be reviewed. This is an important meeting for the Lese Majeste campaign. The International Federation for Human Rights and the Thai Union for Civil Liberty will be lobbying this meeting to review the law. Clean Cloth Campaign  issued a statement on  4 Oct 2011 to the media in Geneva to support the Thai  Human Rights Campaigner, Kwanravee Wangudom in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the UN-Human Rights Council, when Thailand comes under review. Read the statement here
